Newborn Lifestyle Sessions tend to take a longer than a normal family session! I truly want to ensure that Mom and Baby are truly comfortable! It is typically for families to take breaks to nurse/bottle feed to ensure that your newborn is comfortable. At that time we will pause for a little bit and then resume when everyone is ready. If you are considering including family members, please do so. I promise you years down the road you will look back on these cherish images and it will bring back beautiful memories of when your little one was first born. Having a in home session allows you to also document the nursey that you've worked so hard on for so long!

It can be hard on some families of leaving the house with a brand new little one and the possibility of a toddler and other kids in tow could bring on unnecessary stress. It is more convenient to have a photographer come to you! There is no need to worry about packing a diaper bag and extras. If any situation arises, you'll already be home to take care of it.

No Need To Book Your Session Before Your Newborn Is 10 Days Old:

Most studios that shoot newborn posed sessions really want to photograph your baby within their first 1-2 weeks or even sooner. However, with a lifestyle newborn session at your home. It's totally fine with your little one being 2 weeks or even 2+ months. Since newborn lifestyle sessions are more natural and I do not put baby in poses, it is honestly more than okay to wait until your baby is older. The most important part is that it gives Mom time to recover from labor and birth, especially if you just had a c-section; this gives Mom and family more time to adjust to life with a newborn. The first few weeks with a new baby can be overwhelming, especially for new parents, I truly encourage all of my parents to wait until they are ready to book their lifestyle session!

A Lifestyle In-Home Newborn Session Is Stress Free and Flexible:

Truly the last thing I want to do is create more stress for a Momma! When you choose to have a lifestyle newborn session there is less that Mom has to worry about. I typically tell my clients to pick a room with a lot of good natural light. Then take any clutter and and put it int he dining room or laundry room, you seriously do not need to deep clean your house! Do not worry about bathrooms or the kitchen sink! I totally understand and we are also not taking photos in those rooms!

If your little one is fussy, its totally fine. We will take a break! I'll let the parents do what they need to comfort their baby! Whether it is feeding, diaper change or snuggles; I totally understand and do not worry.

Your Home Is The Perfect Backdrop and Offers The Best Personal Props:

I truly love photos in the nursery and it's totally fine if you do not have one! Many parents work for months to design the perfect space, so much time and though goes into choosing colors and decor! I love to capture photos of your little one cuddling on the couch with family or on your bed! They both provide a large space for everyone to be comfortable! In your home I'll be able to capture not only the nursery, but other elements you have put together to create a home.

Depending on the weather, we can get a photo out in front of your home! This image will be forever treasured, down the road you will be able to show your baby at their first home. If you move or make changes to your forever home this image will be sentimental.
